Images can make or break a page. Your goal should be to use images to add some life to your page. On one hand, you don't want to overdo it since the images could totally overshadow the content of your pages and slow them down considerably. On the other hand, you want your pages to have enough visual appeal to attract people and keep them interested. If you can balance these things, then you will probably have a successful website! Caboodles Caboodles is one of the best places out there for icons, animated or not. There's lots of great images here, but not so many that you have to search through links just to get to images. You can browse, because there are not too many - just enough to flavor your website.
Beta X Project A large handful of animated GIFs and fonts.
The 1st Internet Gallery of GIF Animation Lots of animated gifs, however the frames are obnoxious.
Original Animated GIFs Lots of animated GIFs organized fairly well.
Mikey's Collection of Animated GIFS A fair sized collection of animated GIFS. There isn't any organization, it's split into a few pages and the larger images or linked to, while the smaller images are displayed on the different pages. It's set up so you can browse it, and it doesn't take forever to load because a lot of the images aren't displayed on the pages. It's a pretty good page for animated graphics.
Q & B Enterprises This place has tons of backgrounds. They aren't organized very well at all, however there are some really neat looking backgrounds here. The main site says they haven't finished "moving in" yet, however the background pages linked to from it seem to work just fine. They also have bars, email gifs, flower gifs, and a some other stuff like that.
Brown Bag Graphics This page has lots of backgrounds, animated graphics, and horizontal lines. There is some organization, however it's not the best on that. The backgrounds are however organized pretty well.
Boogie Jack Lots of backgrounds including left or right border backgrounds. One of the best background sites there is on the net!
